Resident Evil :Retribution in United State Box Office

After the extremely poor box office takings of the past weekend, the U.S. movies have shown this time a bit more generous. Checkout really did though only the umpteenth Resident Evil part and an old favorite in new 3D

Pretty scary, it went last weekend in U.S. cinemas, and thus, in contrast to last week not the advertisement meant. Zombie slayer Milla Jovovich climbed with Resident Evil 5: Retribution, the fifth installment in the video game franchise, on the weekend the top of the U.S. box office. 21.1 million U.S. dollars brought the global action spectacle in its opening weekend at number one. However, this can not hide the fact that the film grossed less than part two to four of the Resident Evil series, and even one part in 2002, sold more tickets.

Second place erschwomm with Finding Nemo 3D, an old acquaintance, also in its opening weekend, 17.5 million dollars were the reward for adding another dimension. The horror film Possession - The darkness in you, the leader of last week, could take only 5.8 million U.S. dollars and it slipped from number three, he played a total of 41.17 million now.

With 4.22 million U.S. dollars, the moonshiners drama Lawless fell from second place to fourth, a total of 30.14 million it has secured for itself. The creepy trio of top 5 is completed by Para Norman in fifth place, with additional 3.04 million U.S. dollars lead to a total score of 49.34 million. And finally a record outside the top 10: The Faith drama The Master was at the weekend in only five theaters and took 730,000 U.S. dollars per movie so much as never before, a real movie.

Movies Charts
In local clubs, the cinema event is dominated by the undead another kind: The Bourne Legacy, the revival of the Bourne series could inspire in its first week 200,000 visitors for themselves, and thus whopping 300,000 less than the third part of The Bourne Ultimatum in 2007th Miami Heat the winner of last week with nearly 120,000 tickets sold, which helped him through 3D surcharge to 1.2 million euros in the checkout: in second place with Step Up follows. The lack of depth also meant that The Expendables 2 could only take third place, because that showed 123,000 visitors only 960,000 Euro. In all, there are already inspire more than one million viewers for the film, thus more than the first part. In fourth place, Ted finds with no fewer than 80,000 visitors (despite or because of Bavarian and Berlin synchro?), To Rome with Love rose compared to the previous week to 55,000 tickets sold and was therefore already attracted more than a quarter million viewers to the cinema.
